Soothing Tummy Tea

This soothing blend is ideal after a large holiday meal to help settle your tummy. Using dried herbs from your garden, wrap up this tea with a fine china tea cup and infuser ball as a hostess gift.

I had bunches of fresh mint left over from this week’s shwarma that I left out for a few days before using, plus all the dried rosemary from my garden:

  • ¼ cup dried mint leaves
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary leaves, crushed
  • 1 tsp sage
  • ½ tsp dried orange peel or zest

Combine and store in an air tight container. To brew – use 2 tsp for each 1 cup of hot water. Let stand 2 min before serving.

Ironically, I had indigestion today. Crackers weren’t helping enough so I made some of this with the left over mint leaves that I had been drying in a paper bag. Smells like rosemary but has a surprisingly weak taste by comparison (never mind – flavour was at the bottom of the mug).
