Notes to new cooks: you can leave out the nutmeg, and sage is sold at the Bulk Barn (so you only have to buy a pinch for a few cents); same with brown sugar. 1/4 cup is child's fistful. Worcestershire sauce is sold at the grocery store and I assume you have mustard and ketchup in the fridge. Loaf tins are also sold at the grocery store for under $10 and if you line it with tinfoil first, no mess!

This is a great dish if you're having people over for a game or a few beers and don't want to be separate from your guests with lots of cooking. I serve this with baked potatoes because they also go in the oven and are wrapped in foil so there is no mess! Note the theme!

This meal tastes great with tomato chutney - I have lots ;)

I drained it of "juices" before adding the topping; after the last 20 min, it was still kinda pink on the inside so we left it in for 10 min more, but the thermometer said it was okay.

I got an "mmm, tastes good - I like it a lot" from Steve. We also agreed it has a creamy texture. I only used 1 tsp of sugar but it was still very sweet tasting. He was also shocked that I hadn't hidden any veggies in it :)
