Pot Roast in the slow cooker

This was dinner, along with roasted butternut squash and wine. Absolutely delicious!

  • shoulder or boneless roast (beef or pork)
  • Seasoning to taste
  • 1 large yellow onion, chopped or sliced
  • 4 cloves of garlic, peeled and halved
  • 1 cup of liquid (water, broth or red wine)

Poke holes in the meat with a thin blade and insert a piece of garlic. Place beef in crockpot, sprinkle seasonings over meat, pour water over all. Cook on low 6-8 hours or until meat shreds easily.
